Pfizer Unit to Face Class-Action Over Anti-Depressant
Reuters reports US District Judge Richard Sullivan on Tuesday granted class-action status to former shareholders who bought common stock in Wyeth, which is now part of Pfizer. The shareholders group, which is being led by the Boston-based Pipefitters Union Local 537 Pension Fund, is accusing the Pfizer unit of misleading them about known adverse effects linked to its antidepressant, Pristiq (desvenlafaxine).
