Over 50 claims filed following Indiana State Fair stage collapse
>An article in the Chicago Tribune on October 7, 2011 reported Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller says “the number of tort claims alerting the state of possible lawsuits in the wake of the deadly State Fair stage collapse has now reached 50.” Claims “include multiple claimants from the same family, while other family members filed their tort claims separately,” according to Zoeller’s office. Claimants are required to make filings “before a lawsuit can be filed seeking a lawsuit can be filed seeking a share of the $5 million available to victims under Indiana law.”
