CDC to Undertake Campaign to Reduce Unnecessary Infections at Oncology Clinics
The Wall Street Journal reports that the Center for Disease Control and Prevention will launch a campaign to promote strict adherence to infection prevention procedures that are currently in place at hospitals but not at out-patient clinics. In the past decade over 125,000 patients have had to be notified of potential exposure to disease from unsafe injection practices.
