Charitable

Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation
Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation is a national organization dedicated to eliminating pediatric cancer and providing hope and support to those who are touched by it. Their mission is carried out through three unique programs which include the Bear Hugs Program, Bear Discoveries and Bear Empowerment.
American Red Cross
Since its founding in 1881, the American Red Cross has been the nation’s premier emergency response organization. As part of a worldwide movement that offers neutral humanitarian care to the victims of war, the American Red Cross distinguishes itself by also aiding victims of devastating natural disasters. Over the years, the organization has expanded its services, always with the aim of preventing and relieving suffering.
Rock for Kids
Rock For Kids provides music education for elementary school students at underserved Chicago Public Schools.
International Myeloma Foundation
The International Myeloma Foundation is a non-profit organization serving patients with multiple myeloma, a cancer of plasma cells in the bone marrow. The IMF also provides support and information for family members, caregivers of myeloma patients, physicians and nurses.
Livestrong
Founded by world renowned cyclist Lance Armstrong, a cancer survivor, Livestrong works to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
Common Threads
Common Threads teaches low-income children to cook wholesome and affordable meals. Through hands-on cooking classes their goal is to help prevent childhood obesity and reverse the trend of generations of non-cookers, while celebrating cultural differences and the things people all over the world have in common.
Misericordia/Heart of Mercy
The mission of Misericordia/Heart of Mercy is to support individuals with developmental disabilities in maximizing their level of independence and self-determination within an environment that fosters spirituality, dignity, respect and enhancement of quality of life.
Civic
WBEZ – Chicago Public Radio
Public radio station offering public broadcasting feeds, local program schedule, events, listener requests and audio archives. WBEZ serves the public interest by producing and delivering diverse, compelling content of multiple viewpoints and expression.

Steppenwolf Theatre Company
Steppenwolf Theatre Company is a Tony Award winning Chicago theatre company founded by actors Gary Sinise, Terry Kinney and Jeff Perry in 1974. It is one of the premiere theatre companies in the U.S.
Gene Siskel Film Center
For almost 40 years, the Film Center of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) has presented world-class independent, international, and classic cinema. Renamed in honor of the late film critic in 2000, the Gene Siskel Film Center presents approximately 1,500 screenings and 100 guest artist appearances year to over 65,000 film enthusiasts at its unique, sophisticated, modern facilities which have been operating since June 2001 at 164 N. State Street.
